Composed, observant, and relentlessly strategic, he is always reading people for leverage. He believes excellence is mandatory and mediocrity is unforgivable; effort only matters if it produces visible results. Control is his preferred performance, and he wears it well.He does not value fairness, only outcome. Rules exist to be learned, anticipated, and broken with precision. Nikias excels at understanding systems, whether political, social, or emotional, and exploiting their weak points without drawing attention to himself. His sharpest victories are the ones no one realises they have lost.Interpersonally, he is charming and attentive, listening not to empathise but to map. He remembers details because they are useful, not sentimental. Intimacy is a form of access to him, affection inseparable from possession. He wants to be chosen, admired, and remembered above all else.Nikias’ sense of self is anchored in public victory. Loss only matters if it is witnessed; as long as he is perceived as winning, he remains intact. He does not unravel when things end, he has formed a habit of being an unreliable narrator as he reframes the narrative. Punishment is tolerable so long as his reputation survives. This fixation breeds an edge of narcissism. Nikias curates narratives, edits memory, and preserves the version of events in which he remains formidable. When denied a clean ending, he clings to the symbolism of having been undeniable. He lives by a single creed: if he plays, he plays to win ——— and if he wins, he must be seen winning.🏆
APPEARANCE

🏆BACK STORYIn the rugged, gold-veined city of Amphipolis, it was here that Kleon, a general whose name was whispered with both terror and respect, caught the eye of Nike, the Winged Goddess of Victory. She did not come to him in a dream, but on the blood-soaked earth of a battlefield to aid his army to victory. Charmed by the mortal, she blessed him with a son. When Nike bore Nikias, she didn't give the boy a heart but a compass that only pointed towards more.Nikias grew up in a world of iron and ego. He was born with the wind in his heels and a hunger in his soul that no mortal feast could satisfy. His father, the General, taught him that the world is divided into those who command and those who are commanded. But Nikias found his father’s methods too... blunt. Why break a gate with a ram when you can charm the guard into handing you the keys? By eighteen, Nikias was arguably a dangerous man in the northern garrisons. Not because of his sword, but because he knew your secrets before you did. Nikias possessed a terrifying foresight, limited, but just enough. A gift from his mother that allowed him to see the threads of a moment before they tightened into reality. The demigod knew where the blade would fall before it was swung; he knew which words would soften a heart before they were spoken. He weaponised this foresight to win conversations, win dice games, and win the beds of the elite. He was a master of the long game as a man who could charm his way into anything and anywhere with the same tactical precision his father used to take cities. To him, desire was just another battlefield and the body the reward he reaped from his conquests where he remained undefeated. Intimacy was a currency and he was very, very rich. He viewed those who succumbed to his charm as basic, predictable creatures. The Great Prize of Dicaea
So when Nikias heard whispers of Alexis, an untouchable princess, his greed grew excited at the prospect of obtaining what others could not. She was, to him, the ultimate high-ground; a challenge that finally piqued his expensive tastes. For a man who had already sampled the fleeting pleasures of the common and the noble alike, Alexis was a myth to be busted. He wanted to be the one to write the first lines on her blank slate.Nothing was out of his reach. His entrance into the palace of Dicaea was an invasion of her soul. He spent months studying her habits through spies and social maneuvering. His act as a prince was not all he pretend to be——— he became the specific being he had calculated a pride like hers would find worthy of her lowering her guard. He was the only man who didn't grovel at her feet, kept her on her toes with the right amount of wit and flattery that had her curious enough, and that was his first tactical strike. He had her come to him.The near three years that followed were a masterpiece of manipulation. He was her first everything, a role he performed with the practiced grace of a man who had done it a dozen times before. He allowed her to believe they were exploring together, while he relished the newness and naïveté in her eyes, a fine ultimate ego boost as he delighted in the collecting of a pristine artefact. He watched her surrender her secrets, her body, herself entirely with the same cold satisfaction a general has when watching a city lower its flags. He made her believe she was special, while he merely viewed as an object of a feeling fixation that will be set aside when he has bled her dry of her worth with a detached amusement. However, one that lies so often and so frequently, it is only a matter of time till they too will fall for their facade. Nikias was no exception and became a victim of his own lie. In his ambition to possess the Thracian princess, he realised he had developed a greedy, obsessive hunger for her that those fleeting experiences never provided. He no longer possessed a want to have her but a need to be her world in one way, shape or form and most importantly how he remained in control of the narrative. He was too deep in the web of lies to attempt honesty now.So when the truth broke in that dining hall on the back of her desire of a real future, of a kingdom that did not truly exist as it was a wild embellishment of Amphipolis and a prince that was merely the son of a general, it wasn't the exposure that hurt. It was the loss of his victorious conquest thus far. Even as Alexis’ temper called down Zeus’ lightning, Nikias’ first thought wasn't an apology. It was: "How do I spin this into a victory?" But for once, he paled as his foresight failed him. There was no calculation where he could properly salvage things in that very moment and thus, it appeared he humbly accepted banishment as one thing did dawn on him. The extent of his remorse was not yet a factor but he knew that leaving her while she was still in love with his phantom, in love with the ghost of a man that took everything from her, was the perhaps the best way to immortalise himself within her so she could never love another with the same devotion as she gave him. Nikias would leave big shoes to fill as that will haunt every man who dared court her after him.The Fall of the ‘Prince’
Now, at twenty-five, Nikias is back in Amphipolis, but his spirit remains a parasite in Dicaea. Away he might be but those connections that linked him to the princess prior to his arrival lingered. He lives in a state of selfish yearning. He keeps a room in his father's estate filled with things that remind him of her out of a sense of ownership. He sent her letters periodically in the early stages of his exile. Never desperate, remorseful enough to keep her reading. He drew her back at the mentions of specific scents, phrases only they used, or a memories of a first shared experiences. Whether she read them or not, Nikias didn’t care but what he knew of her was she was a hoarder of his letters. As memories served him, she still had every letter he sent her in their exchange whenever he was away and things were fresh between them and how she heard his voice in every word she read. He was satisfied to live there in her memory as a hinderance. Rent free in the back of her mind because every man will fall short of the happiness he gave her and there will be a fear of being fooled as he fooled her to sustain and rebuild her pride. The restriction of progression that will allow her to move on work for him. It meant her heart with still his territory as therefore she remained his in his absence. At every failed attempt of any suitor that extends her ongoing singledom, Nikias smiles selfishly. In the end, he may have lost her but his reputation precedes him: the one victorious in being the only one to have her propose the idea of marriage.🏆

🏆Nikias’ powers are used to create an advantageous position through probability and precision. He possesses a limited form of foresight, a gift inherited from Nike that allows him to perceive the probability of outcomes moments before they occur. This does not show him the future outright, but instead reveals likelihoods. It sharpens his instincts and informs his strategy, making him dangerously efficient rather than reckless.Nikias can mimic the techniques and fighting styles of his opponents after brief observation. Whether in combat or confrontation, he adapts quickly, mirroring strengths while compensating for weaknesses, turning an enemy’s skill into a reflection they struggle to overcome. This ability extends beyond the physical as he often mirrors cadence, posture, and tone in social exchanges where necessary.Like most demigods, he possesses heightened strength, speed, endurance, and senses, though he rarely relies on brute force. Violence is a last resort; precision is his preference.Nikias can also summon wings from his mid-lower back. They grant him speed, elevation, and escape.
